For over 25 years, Bobbie Pell has shared her love of story with audiences of all ages through written works, storytelling performances, and workshops. Her speciality area, Celtic folklore and traditions, focuses on faerie lore, ballads, and archetypical myths. She also tells world folk and fairy tales filled with universal truths to show how Story explores the human heart. Her educational background includes a B.S. in Outdoor Environmental Education followed by three Master's degrees: Library Science, English Literature/Composition, and Creative Writing [MFA-terminal]. She continues her collegiate teaching career (since 1993) at the University of North Carolina-Asheville and East Tennessee State University. Bobbie enjoys all forms of writing, believing that the power of the written word releases the soul. To audiences and readers, she offers quality work and imaginative adventures! As of 2009, in addition to her writing and teaching, Bobbie transferred her love of weaving words into wearable fiber art creations, Imaginary Lands: Celtic Colours! Using high quality wools, silks, and rayons, Bobbie blends hand-dyed colors and variable textures into elegant women's wear!
